Leping started playing piano at the age of five. She studied with Ms. Mina Mu at age of seven and was accepted into Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists in 2022, studying under Dr. Michael Berkovsky. Leping has won numerous awards and scholarships, including the winner of the 2023 Taylor Academy Concerto Competition, first prize winner in level 9 of the Music Lights the Way Piano Festival in 2023, first prize winner in age 7-11 group of the 5th edition OMNI competition in 2023, first prize winner in Division 1 at the 28th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in 2021 and the overall prize winner in age 8-10 group in 2021 Toronto Steinway Piano Competition. She was also awarded first prize in numerous competitions, including CCC Toronto International Music Festival, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, North York Music Festivals, Unionville Music Festivals and IMFC. Leping enjoys golfing, playing table tennis, reading, and making crafts in her free time.
